For this piece I used Venus white and I scrapped it. This piece was very hard for me because I didn't do the face earlier in the year. Halfway through, after I finished the eyes and nose, I decided to just scrap it because I would have never used it and I didn't like it. When I started I wasn't going for a perfect look, more the concepts of a face, but if I were to make it again I would definitely try to perfect it.

Current artist inspired
Plan:
I based this piece off of a ceramic artist I found on instagram. What interested me is her work with the banana slugs and she is also from Santa Cruz. So, for this piece I used the clay Venus white. I wanted to make a mug for my dad since he likes banana slugs. I like the slugs on this piece and overall the whole thing. If I would make this again I would use different glazes for the mug since they didn't have very good coverage. I would also make the mug bigger because it is small in comparison to the slugs.

For this piece I wanted to make a wall hanging for dried flowers. I really like the shape and the drawing I put on this. If I were to do this again I would make it thinner and make the pocket for the flowers bigger.

For this piece I used Venus white and used underglaze. I was a little confused on what I was going to do for this piece and I ended up on a bowl with sgrafifto. I like the design on this piece especially because I didn't really have much of a plan. If I would make this again I would put more thought into it and I would make the shape of the bowl look cleaner because it is really uneven.

For this piece I used Venus White and I wanted this mug to look like the marsh mellow jellycat. I really like the body of this piece and the size of it. If I were to make this again I would definitely clear glaze it better because there are a few parts that are rough

For this piece I used Venus white. This piece is supposed to be a jewelry holder for my cousin. I don't like this piece at all and I think I only did good on the shape. The shape was so difficult to make because it broke so many times. If I were to make this piece again I would spend more time glazing it because I rushed and when I clear glazed it the blue glaze spread everywhere.

For this piece I used Venus white. The use for this piece is supposed to be a succulent holder for my mom. I think I did good on the shape and glaze for this. If I were to make this again I wouldn't change anything because I really like it.
