Monster
Plan:
-Form and carve out body
-create legs and tail to support body
-Make thin wings and connect them to body
-Form and carve out head adding features (beak, eyes, nose)
For this piece I used Venus white and the glazes Cotton tail and tuxedo. This was very difficult for me because the body was hard to stand on the legs so I decided to put a tail to hold it. I also struggled with getting the wings to not weigh down the body. In the end I think I did well on the body and wings.

-Shape clay into star shape
-Add clay on top for shaping
-Carve out inside
-Add holes on top
Plan:
Alebrije
For this piece I used Venus white and I painted it with acrylic paint. I struggled with this piece a lot because of how big it was. I also struggled with shaping it because I hollowed it out too much so it wasn't strong. I do think that its very close to plan and what I wanted to do for this piece.
-Make 4 of the same slump mold
-Underglaze only the inside of the bowls
-Sgrafifto animals on the bowls
Plan:
4 of a kind

For this piece I used Venus white and I underglazed my bowls for sgrafifto. I think I did well of the carving of each of the animals the way I wanted to. I think i could've done my slump molds better because they were a little messy.

-roll out clay
-build box with slabs
-make square with lid
-use coils for the lid
-make shell then connect it with rolled piece
-underglaze
Plan:
Lidded Box
For this piece I used Venus white and I underglazed it. I made this piece for my cousin and I wanted to make it so she could put jewelry in it. My plan for the stripes was to make them imperfect, but they just look messy. If I were to make this piece differently I would make the lines look better.
